Poem in Hindi – Din Jaldi-Jaldi Dhalta hai

कविता : दिन जल्दी-जल्दी ढलता है|
कवि : हरिवंश राय बच्चन 

हो जाय न पथ में रात कहीं,
मंज़िल भी तो है दूर नहीं,
यह सोच थका दिन का पंथी भी जल्दी-जल्दी चलता है,
दिन जल्दी-जल्दी ढलता है।

Should it not turn dark during the journey,
the destination isn’t far away too,
thinking this, the tired traveler moves quickly.
Day ages quickly.

बच्चे प्रत्याशा में होंगे,
नीड़ों से झाँक रहे होंगे,
यह ध्यान परों में चिड़ियों के भरता कितनी चंचलता ह,
दिन जल्दी-जल्दी ढलता है।

Children will be in anticipation,
will be peeping from their home,
how this concern fills the mobility in the bird’s.
Day ages quickly.

मुझसे मिलने को कौन विकल?
मैं होऊं किसके हित चंचल?
यह प्रश्न शिथिल करता पद को, भरता उर में विह्वलता है,
दिन जल्दी-जल्दी ढलता है।

Who is feeling uneasy to meet me?
to whose interest I do fickle?
that questions slows down the footsteps, filling restlessness to the chest,
Day ages quickly.
